Fri.November 18th, 2016 Thai Cooking Lesson

We cooked Thai green curry, vermicelli salad and deep-fried fish cake in Thai style. Today's cooking lesson started with the cooking specialist, Belle's talk; why Thai people are so slim eating 5 times a day! She said it was because of all the good ingredients in Thai food.
After some explanation for the recipe, we started cutting vegetables and chicken. Cutting coriander, wonderful fresh smell spread in the kitchen. Belle brought a bunch of coriander for coriander lovers; today's participants.We actually
used coriander root for the salad.
We boiled minced pork for vermicelli salad. Have you ever boiled minced meat? It is a great idea to remove the extra fat inside the meat. This also explains why Thai people are so slim.
The participants asked lots of questions where to buy these ingredients and Belle answered each question nicely. She seems to know all the supermarkets around Fukuoka.
We served beautifully each food then tasted with all together. Everything tasted so good!! Belle said, "all the meals by MY recipe tastes great. Because my recipe comes from the meals I myself actually ate and tasted fantastic!
We talked for a while having a great time.
