My name is Samira Hüsler and I started to do an internship for SUiTO Fukuoka today.
I was born in a Swiss city called Fribourg. Fribourg is a little medieval city and located really close to the Swiss capital. Fribourg marks the border between the German and French part of Switzerland. In Swissgerman this area is called “Röstigraben”. Since I grew up there I am able to speak French and German fluently. I left my hometown to study Social Anthropology and History in Bern. After obtaining my Bachelor degree I decided to study for six months in Fukuoka.
My interest for Japan was born at an early age. I was always interested in culture and after reading some books about Japan, I felt in love. Because of that interest I visited Japan a few times before I decided to also learn the language. For improving my knowledge about the Japanese society, history and my Japanese language skills, I decided to come to Japan for six months. Even it wasn’t my first time in Fukuoka, I was surprised about the beauty of the place and the kindness of the people. Fukuoka feels like a second home and I want to show other people why this city is simply amazing.
For that reason I will give my best to help SUiTO Fukuoka to achieve their goals. I will be glad to assist you in English, German, French and a little Japanese.
