Japan, especially Tokyo, is known world wide for amazing and diverse street fashion. This famous street fashion is always a mixture between local and foreign fashion. But not only Tokyo has crazy and edgy fashion ideas to show. Also in Fukuoka some extraordinary clothes are hidden. Young fresh labels such as Amai settle down in Fukuoka and spoil the people with remarkable inspiration. Amai belongs to the young ambitious German fashion designer Amai, for personal reasons she prefers to be called with her stage name. Her label is specialized in Lolita Fashion. Lolita Fashion describes a Victorian inspired style, which was created in Japan. The exact origin remains unclear. A popular theory is, that in the beginning it was an anti-movement to revealing women clothes during the 1970s. The clothes became more and more popular, because of the local famous people who wore them during the 1990s.
In our days this style is known world wide, but above all mostly worn in Tokyo. Exactly because of this issue the German designer came to Japan. She successfully completed an Internship under the leading of the local designer Rose. They soon after started a collaboration label named Amai & Rose. Their actual goals were to mix Japanese and European fashion and to make Lolita Fashion more and more popular in Europe. The result was simply stunning. Furthermore their feminine fashion is for women and also for men. Their futuristic clothes looks amazing! So maybe Japan is ready for a „second“ Harajuku located in Fukuoka.
