First-picked tea leaves are the ones that are harvested first of the year, which Japanese people think the highest quality tea leaves!
SUiTO FUKUOKA offered a special tea event to taste 4 different tea from a famous tea shop in Yame, not to mention, which is well-known for its production of good quality tea leaves.
-Gyokuro; the highest grade tea in Japanese tea.
-Kabusecha ; mainly sold in Kansas area. Its taste varies depending on water temperature.
-Sencha; the most common tea at home
-Hojicha; Recommended for relaxing time for its roasted aroma
Our chef, a.k.a, a tea instructor explained the differences of those tea leaves and served tea with chef's special sweets!
Everyone enjoyed the tea aroma & specially made WAGASHI.
