Hi everyone !
Vanessa here !
This week, I was invited to visit Hoshinomura, in Yame, by the owner of the tea factory, where SUiTO buys its tea supplies: Mr. Kiya. His shop is called Horyouen, and I strongly recommend it to you if you want to taste real good tea.
The shop is a very elegant place, surrounded by nature, and has a very traditional Japanese atmosphere that will instantly make you feel relaxed and at ease.
The entrance was si beautiful I had to stop to take a picture, even though my friends couldn't wait to go inside and try all of the different teas.
Sorry, friends... But look at that entrance, I mean ! I love it !!
Once we were satisfied and so full of tea we had trouble walking, we decided to take a stroll around a park nearby that M. Kiya recommended to us. The weather was hot and sunny and the walk was very enjoyable.
The pond in the middle of the park made the landscape look really eerie, straight out of a Ghibli movie.
And look at THIS ! This has everything I love in Japan. It's old, it's made of wood, it's small, cute and kind of scary if you go there at night. Perfect !!!
Lastly, once you have visited everything you wanted to, do not forget to come back to Mr. Kiya's kissaten (tea room) for one last cup and a delicious wagashi...
